Travis Austin musician clients range from professional blues bangers to social injustice rappers. However, ‘90s Country is a cornerstone in the foundation of our team’s composition. When Bryan Roberts, an important member of the Dallas music scene, mentioned an event called “Neon Moon” at Blue Light Dallas, it was a no brainer. Roberts asked Travis to be a part of this charity event benefiting the SIMS Foundation, an organization tailored to musician mental health and substance use recovery.
As a TA cornerstone, we vow to do one charity event per month. Travis was overjoyed to provide his unique quality of live artistry at this ‘90s Country inspired song swap. Hosted by Josh Abbott, the event included performances from William Clark Green, Caroline Kraddick and more. Travis made hats during the show to provide an extra layer of activation and created a leather jacket inspired by George Strait’s “All My Exes Live in Texas.” The jacket will be raffled off after being signed by numerous Texas Country and Red Dirt artists and be donated to the SIMS Foundation. With past jackets going for over $5000 in charity auctions, we’re looking forward to raising the stakes for this charity close to our hearts.
A big thank you to the Blue Light Dallas crew, Bryan Roberts, and all the musicians involved in putting on this nostalgic event.
